Rainbow Smoothie

In honor of pride month, this Rainbow Smoothie recipe is a special one. The smoothie is not only colorful, it is also quick and easy to make, packed with fruits, and super refreshing. Smoothies is a great way to make sure you're getting in your daily fruits and veggies.




Ingredients:

purple

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries

green

  • 1 banana

  • handful of baby spinach

yellow

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango cubes

orange

  • 1 banana

  • 1 orange or peach

red

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries or watermelon


Instructions:

  1. In a blender or food processor blend the banana with the frozen mixed berries, until smooth and creamy.

  2. Repeat the same process with the other layers, rinsing the blender container out in between each layer.

  3. To assemble the smoothie, start by pouring the purple layer into your favorite mason jar, followed by the green layer, and so on.



Notes:

To make a blue layer, I recommend blending 1 tsp of blue spirulina with 1 banana.
