These vegan Cauliflower 'Wings' are super easy-to-make and the recipe only requires 3 basic ingredients, but they are still full of flavor and yummy. I baked half of them and fried the other half, both ways of cooking are included in this blog post. I have to say, however, they won't be as crispy with the baking method.
Ingredients:
1 medium size cauliflower
1/3 cup flour
1 tbsp each: smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin
salt & pepper to taste
150 ml unsweetened plant-based milk
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and seasonings, then pour in the unsweetened plant-based milk and mix until a smooth, not too runny batter forms.
Break the cauliflower into small florets and coat each piece in the batter you just made.
Add a couple tablespoons of high-heat oil to a pan and let it heat up over medium high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place a few of the cauliflower florets at a time in the pan and fry for about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. You can also bake the cauliflower 'wings', if you'd like. Place the cauliflower pieces onto a lined baking pan and bake for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Serve warm with a dip of choice and enjoy!
